Sam Karow

Planning / Media Director

Sam’s career began at Leo Burnett Media, now Starcom Worldwide.  For 13 years he led media planning and buying teams that built clients’ businesses and won Effies, Jack Meyers Awards and MEDIA Magazine Creative Media awards.

Sam earned his M.S. in integrated marketing communications at Northwestern University and spent a year at Chicago Creative Partnership.  He provides integrated marketing planning, management and training.

  • He’s precocious: Grasped the power of advertising after his business card-sized ad in The State News drew a crowd of over 1,000 to MSU’s first annual Naked Mile run
  • He’s careful: Wears protective clothes when using punch cards
  • He’s brilliant: Guest lectures at Michigan State University and Concordia University
  • He’s caring: Teaches creative writing and photography to at risk youth
