Billups Design is agnostic towards programming languages, operating systems and hosting, so ultimately we build and support what the customer wants and needs. We do have extensive experience with object oriented programming and scripting languages such as Java/J2EE, Actionscript3, C++, Objective C (iPhone), .NET/.aspx, PHP, JSP, VBScript, perl, javascript, Json, xml and many others. Process
Once business and marketing goals are on the table we can do a first-pass with technical
requirements, architecture and data modeling. A development and testing timeline can then be
created, accounting for everyone’s expectations. Next, Billups Design iteratively creates the
final spec with the client. Billups Design then builds and tests the software to specification
collaboratively with the client and other partners. Last, the software is tested for beta,
burn-in and final releases.
Data and System Modeling
A conceptual model is created based on the data requirements for an application, and is visually
shown using UML. We are experienced with UML to visually render structure, behavior and
interaction diagrams and definitions of their objects within. Once data and system models exist it
is possible to architect and design the database and interface.

Hosting
There are many options to choose from with hosting. Should you use cloud computing like Amazon’s
Web Services? Is dedicated hosting better for us? We have extensive experience working with your IT
folks to make the best decisions for your business needs. We are very well seasoned with all types
of operating systems: Windows, OSX, and Linux, and we actively install and manage Apache and IIS
servers for our clients. We also are well versed in creating and executing web services / services
oriented architectures for companies dealing with variables of all sorts (including financial and

Security
Creating a strategy that ensures upmost secure environment is especially important with eCommerce and
other https sites. We can facilitate acquiring and maintaining the correct certificates and also help
advise on using external partners like McAfee Secure to assure users that the site is tested every
day.
